“Art. This is what brings me joy. I also like photography, probably that’s why i accepted this… Also I do different kind of art: drawing, clay sculpting, more recently I did some sculptures out of recycled stuff like metal. I think through this we have the chance to fully express ourselves. When I’m doing this kind of art I do feel like I truly consume my time with purpose. It’s something which we are not getting out of something else. This is how I see it.
Also, I think helping people. We see a lot of people in need. Just spontaneous help this is also something which brings me joy. A little help I did once. I went to a bakery, I bought two sandwiches, back in London, I came out and there was this guy sitting at the door of the bakery and singing for money. So, I give him the sandwich and a couple of pounds. He seemed happy, of course, he seemed truly happy. Also I felt happy, it made me feel good just by seeing him happy.
After a period of time I went to a store to buy a couple of things to eat and something to drink. I bought the food and I bought some beers, but I didn’t have enough money to pay for all those. But the lady she was very kind. I wanted to put a couple of things on the side and not to take them. But the lady she saw I didn’t have the money and she gave me the other things and the beers also. What I realized in that moment is…I do believe in karma. I just realized how this money came back to me in time. I do believe there is something which is going and is coming back to us depending on what we are doing. Either we are doing good or either we are doing bad.”
